Asset indexing is a feature available on all Nelogica platforms that allows for the comparison between two assets. This relationship can be the sum, subtraction, or even division of the prices of each asset. Regardless of the type of Indexing, it is a very useful tool for ensuring a series of important visualizations and calculations, based on the closing of the indexing asset.
In our platforms, we offer the possibility to multiply, sum, divide, and replace any pair of assets directly through the chart.
To index assets, access Asset Indexing in the View menu.
It is necessary to have a chart opened to index an asset. In the example below we have the asset Gold selected in the chart, when the Asset Inexing tool is selected it will automatically set Gold as the main asset.
Once the desired type of indexing is confirmed, the chart will build the candles based on the result, or Ratio, of the calculation between the two assets.
Below is an example of division between the Gold and Platinum:
After the division, the price scale on the chart will display the result of the calculation, showing the Ratio.
Currently, operating on indexed charts is not a feature available on our platforms.
Attempts to do so will generate the following message:
Error: It is not possible to send orders when the chart is indexed.
To unindex the asset, simply go back to Asset Indexing in the View menu and select Unindex Asset.
